The Good Samaritan

I received a mail last week, about a Muslim girls meet that was happening in my city. It was a group started so that interested muslimahs could come together and learn islam the fun way with halal activities like watching documentaries together, quizes, games, and other creative stuff, Alhumdulillah!

I was very excited to attend this, because I felt I had a wonderful opportunity to meet the other muslimahs in our city and additionally make some righteous friends for the sake of Allah! 🙂 .. But that isn’t what this post is about!

My friend and I went for the meet in her car which she was driving! Usually we go with my driver but since it was a sunday he was on leave, so we didn’t have a choice! So, reading dua we started off to the place where this was being organised.. We were quiet unsure about the place too since it was a little far off from our area but Alhumdulillah we found our way to it!

On our way back, after more than half the way home .. we heard some weird noise! We realised the noise was coming from the tyre; so we moved to the side and stopped the car immediately!

We were right, there was something wrong with the tyre! It had probably burst but we werent sure since we never had seen a burst tyre before! Next we decided we should hunt for a mechanic! We were about to leave when a muslim man probably in his mid 30s with his elderly father made  way towards our car in a 2 wheeler!

Getting off from his vehicle he straight away asked us if there was a stepney in the car. My friend asked him what had happened and he informed us that the tyre had burst!

He took out the stepney and the other tools and soon enough changed the tyre for us; while we just stood there shocked and moved at the same time!

This brother happened to come out of nowhere. I guess, he had passed by our car and happened to notice his sisters in Islam in the hijab with a tyre that was burst and had taken a U-turn to come back to help us for absolutely nothing but for the sake of Allah! When he was done and my friend offered him some money for his effort, he straightaway denied to take anything and walked away! All we could give him in return was say “Jazakallahu Khair” and made loads of dua that literally came from the bottom of our hearts!

The help the brother offered really made me smile to myself and say “Alhumdulillah, There’s still khair in the ummah!” :’)

After getting back into the car we couldn’t help but thank Allah enough! Subhanallah, Alhumdulillah, Allahu Akbar.. It was all we could say! We knew that Allah had protected us and sent our way this good Samaritan for our help!

Alhumdulillah, we went out of our way to attend the program for the sake of Allah and Allah had in turn made sure that we reached home back safely! It’s so so so amazing how wonderfully Allah(swt) takes care of us! 🙂 SubhanAllah!

We stopped at the next petrol bunk to fill air into the tyres and made our way safely back home; all while we were still in a state of amazement at the unexpected help that came our way! Alhumdulillahi rabbil Aalameen (All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds!) 🙂

Subhan Allah! This is just another way of Allah subhana wa ta’aala showing us that His promise is indeed true! For those who step out on a path to seek knowledge for His sake, He will surely make it a path of ease! Allahu Akbar! 🙂

Subhanallah! It is amazing when you go towards seeking knowledge, how Allah (swt) helps you along the way. Since I don’t drive, it is always very difficult for me to get to our local Islamic classes for women. Subhanallah, after the first few times…I had women offering to give me a lift back to back. Never had to worry again, AH.
