I’ve been out-of-town over the weekend. My cousin got married, Alhumdulillah, so had been to her city to attend her wedding. May Allah bless her marriage with love and best of understanding.
We travelled by car. The highway is a beautiful one, Masha’allah. It’s a wonderful road, covered with mountains, lakes, and lot of greenery on either side, a bliss for the eyes, Allahu Akbar.
Along the way looking at the hills I was reminded of this verse from the Quran–
Allah says in the Quran: “Had We sent down this Qur’an to a mountain, you would have seen it humbled, burst apart out of awe for Allah. We cite such examples for people, so that they may ponder” (59:21)
Subhan’Allah. Imagine the power of the Quran. Man does not have even the slightest power to move the mountain even by an inch, but such a mountain is said to have burst apart if the Quran had been sent down to it! Can you imagine the power of the Quran then? That makes me wonder that how powerful the Quran is, and how grateful we should be to Allah for having sent it to us. Quran is the weapon that can soften our hearts, the light that can lead us to Jannah, a path that draws us closer to Allah. But how many times have we really thanked Allah for sending us this blessing, the Quran. How many times have we really opened that holy book which indeed is present in every muslim house by Allah’s grace, but have we really opened our hearts and let this powerful book change us? How many times have we sat down and pondered over its meaning and let it fill our heart with awe? I think it’s about time we let the change happen. In our pursuit of getting closer to Allah(SWT) we should, most importantly, take out time to read the Quran and pondering over its meaning.
May Allah help us all to understand His words in the Quran in the right way and make our hearts firm in His religion. Ameen.
