A blessed and fabulous Eid to you! (who care’s if it’s belated :P)

I just read your Eid traditions and masha Allah, so cute! 🙂

It’s quite similar to us too. We also have Eid gifts, plus, everyone always gets dressed up in their new Eid clothes. But the highlight of the day is of course the amazing food and the biiiig family lunch 🙂

Sheer-khurma, is it like kheer? For us, no Eid is complete without ‘Haluvidha’ 🙂 It’s a maldivian style jello (sort of like your halva, but lighter and not oily) made usually in diamond shapes. But sometimes we get all creative and it comes in all sorts of colors and designs, like birds, flowers, fish etc… Verryyy yummy 🙂

In the past, we had parades in the evening where everyone would line up on the streets to watch. Lots of fun for kids, but now the practice has sort of died out.

Eid always leaves you with happy memories, doesn’t it? 🙂

    • Heh yes I love the family lunches! ❤ 😀

Sheer khurma is not really like kheer.. It's more liquidy and little different! 😀 Nice to know about your eid traditions.. Must be fun to get all creative with the sweet shapes, isn't it?! 🙂

      Yes it does, alhumdulillah! 🙂

can I wish Eid Mubarak now? 😛

    • haha.. yes u can! 😉
Reminds me of maniac muslim’s last update “Is there a time limit on “Eid Mubarak” messages? Because sometimes I get Eid messages so late, it’s practically Eid ul-Adha.”
